Why I like Conlangs (Constructed Languages)
In my last post, I wrote why I like Esperanto and its philosophy. However, that's not the only "ConLang" (constructed language) I'm interested in.
Some months ago, I learned about "Mini Language". Its goal is to form a usable language for everyday conversations (no technical stuff, though), in just 1.000 words.
It "collects" its words from a lot of different languages, with a focus on a lot of English words, but phonological changed to sound like "one language".
Some days ago, I read about "Lingwa de Planeta" (Lidepla). It was created in 2006 by some people from Russia. Other than Mini Language, it is an exhaustive language, with 10.000s words, that are adopted from the 12 most widely spoken languages of the world.
What I like about such takes? That humans think about communication. Think about, how one language could work for as many people worldwide as possible - to connect them in one auxiliary language.
That's great, isn't it? :)
